<p>After last year&#8217;s success of the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour exhibition Heineken now asked us to make the 2013 edition even better. So we added interactive elements and an Augmented Reality smartphone/tablet app.</p>
<p>At the &#8216;Jump like Ronaldo&#8217; interactive visitors could jump and head the ball to start the videoclip of Cristiano Ronaldo.</p>
<p>At the &#8216;Tune in to 1960&#8242; interactive visitors could try to de-scramble the black-and-white footage on the &#8216;classic&#8217; TV using the antenna and point it in the right direction. Both interactives used accellerometer technology and gave the visitors a smile on their face.<br />

<p>Hypsos asked me to help them win the pitch for the O&#8217;Neill booth design for ISPO 2013, Europe&#8217;s biggest sports fair. Inspired by O&#8217;Neill&#8217;s mantra &#8220;Nature is our Playground&#8217;, I developed a design concept of a wooden snowboarding slope. Together with Hypsos designer Ton Vogels I co-designed the booth to combine the overall organic look with the practical demands for display and functionalities. And&#8230; we won the pitch! :)</p>

<p>I was asked to design a special exhibit for the Heineken Experience in Amsterdam where visitors can play the online game <a href="http://www.heineken.com/nl/jamesbond/start/crack-the-case.aspx" target="_blank">&#8216;Crack the Case&#8217;</a>, linked to Heineken&#8217;s <a href="http://youtu.be/8aitkwliEYk" target="_blank">ad campaign</a> for the new James Bond movie &#8216;Skyfall&#8217;. To make it a real experience environment I designed a train setting including TV screen windows and integrated computer terminals in the tables. Mission from briefing untill opening accomplished in just 7 weeks &#8211; James Bond worthy.</p>

To provide the Heineken country marketing managers with enough energy and inspiration to execute the strategic plans in their own countries&#8230;!<br />

<p>For Heineken&#8217;s global marketing event we created an exhibition-like timeline, so all guests could literally walk through Heineken&#8217;s history.  Key dates and happenings were captured in pop-art-like installations. Because we thought this is more fun than a Powerpoint &#8211; and so did the guests.</p>

<p>TBWA\BEC commissioned me the concept and design of a branded football experience themed around their <a href="http://youtu.be/PTtaNC1lgUw" target="_blank">Heineken UEFA Champions League campaign</a>: &#8216;Masterpiece Moments&#8217;. We created a storyline starting with Magnificent Moves, Spectacular Saves, Dazzling Goals to Epic Victories &#8211; enriched with video footage and signed memorabilia like Messi&#8217;s shoes and Beckhams Outfit. The apotheosis was the &#8216;treasure room&#8217; with the UEFA Champions League Trophy (the real one!) where visitors could have themselves photographed to post on Facebook. The Heineken UCL Trophy Tour traveled to Mexico, Tanzania, Kenya and China and caused a lot of <a href="http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/newsid=1778720.html" target="_blank">happy faces</a>.</p>

For Björn Borg Nederland we created a concept to increase PR and sales: a 24-hours emergency underwear window. Very handy for youngsters who end up in unforeseen circumstances after dating, clubbing or partying. The fully automated self-service window can also offer tooth brushes, deodorant, mouth spray and condoms. Because Björn knows his customers&#8230;</p>

<p>For Kenwood I developed a marketing initiative focused on a very clear target group: musicians. As the budget was tight we used guerilla media: pinboards of music rehearsal studios. An &#8216;offer-you-couldn&#8217;t-refuse&#8217; was posted as a hand-written message: &#8216;full recording studio for €300, &#8211; go to kensstudio.nl&#8217;. The URL showed the <a href="http://www.kensstudio.nl" target="_blank">website</a> of Ken Wood, a musician, producer and sound freak. A music video shows his credibility: a one-man-band playing 12 instruments(!). His secret: the MGR-8R pocket studio&#8230;</p>

<p>To help PUMA draw traffic to their social media activities I developed a photo kiosk concept. The kiosk is situated in the PUMA QUAD retail pavilion set up at the stop over cities of the Volvo Ocean Race. Visitors can visualize themselves as the skipper of the Mar Mostro &#8211; the ship participating in the race on behalf of PUMA. On a special website visitors can download their picture and share it on Twitter or Facebook.</p>

<p>To help PUMA Event Retail with setting up pop-up stores I designed a complete retail display fixturing system. The system consists of special flight cases, customized aluminium tubes and connectors, and various accessories. The flight cases allow for storage and serve as the basis of the system, which can be placed stand-alone in practically any event environment. The tubes and accessories can be used to create various modular set ups to display featured collections such as sailing, golf, motorsport a.o.</p>
